To make a reservation on Alamo.com, follow these steps:

1. Sign in using your username and password.
2. Enter your pick-up location (Airport, City, or ZIP/Postal Code).
3. Specify your pick-up date and time.
4. Specify your return date and time.
5. Enter the driver's age.
6. If you have any corporate or discount codes, enter them.
7. Click Continue to proceed with the reservation.

Please note that the reservation must be made at least 24 hours in advance. The reservation cannot include certain add-ons that need to be added to the vehicle (i.e. mobility devices, etc). Alamo.com offers several flexible payment options for customers including credit and debit card, and pre-payment. When renting a car with a credit card, it must be presented with available credit, in the renter's name. The signature must match the name imprinted on the card and the signature on the car rental agreement. For online reservations, the number and name printed on the card presented must match the name and number stored for the online reservation. Credit Cards accepted include American Express®, Mastercard®, VISA® and Discover® Network.

When renting a car with a debit card, debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card bearing the VISA, Mastercard® or Discover logo. Pre-paid cards or any other non-credit card without one of these logos is not accepted. At airport locations, debit card deposits are only accepted at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary. The name and address shown on the renter’s driver’s license must match their current home address. Active-duty military personnel are exempt from address requirements. Other than the renter’s spouse or domestic partner, no other additional drivers are allowed. At the time of rental, charges will be placed on the debit card which reduces the available funds in the account associated with the card used. Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.

Alamo also accepts pre-paid gift cards with a Visa®, Mastercard® or Amex® symbol as a form of payment at the end of a rental. However, they do not accept gift cards to secure a rental.

Lastly, cash is not accepted as a deposit at the beginning of a rental at any location. For security reasons, many locations do not accept cash at any time.

To cancel your reservation on Alamo.com, you can follow these steps:

2. Navigate to the Modify or Cancel a Reservation section.
3. Enter your first name, last name, and confirmation number provided at the time of booking.
4. The page will provide you the option to cancel.

Please note Alamo's Cancellation Policy:

• Free Cancellations: Cancellations are accepted at any time where a form of payment, like a credit or debit card, is not provided to secure the rental reservation.
• Guaranteed Reservations: Cancellations are accepted up to one calendar day before the reservation date. Reservations canceled more than 24 hours before the pick-up time are free. If the reservation is canceled within 24 hours of the pick-up or if the reservation is not used, a $50 cancellation fee will apply.
• Pay Now Reservation Cancellation Fee: If a Pay Now reservation is canceled more than 24 hours before the pick-up time, a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed. If a Pay Now reservation is canceled within 24 hours of the pick-up or is not picked up at all, a $100 no-show fee will be assessed.
• Any optional insurance or CDW product selected at the time of reservation may be canceled at the counter at the time of rental without incurring a cancellation fee.
